Keeping The Fun in Blogging - Changes to Man vs Blog
It has been over a month since I last updated the blog and I felt that it was the right time to just come out and state the reason for this.
I was suffering from blog burnout. I am sure many bloggers suffer this from time to time. In addtion to this blog, I have been posting on my reviewchicago.com website, and maintaining a few other blogs. This was my first blog but it was left behind because of one simple reason. It had become draining and the fun had all but disappeared while writing for this blog. I enjoy sharing tips and things I have learned, but almost all of what I share is just another mans take on blogging. It becomes redundant and stale, not only for the reader, but for the author as well.
Going forward, instead of focusing entirely on blog marketing and tips, I am going to make this my ‘flagship’ blog. I will continue to post case studies and things I have learned about blogging, but included will be posts about new media, music marketing, technology and things I am interested in. By doing this, I hope to keep this blog fresh and interesting to the loyal readers I have already made. I hope to relate this to blogging in one way or another, but no promises!
I am aware that some of my readers will leave as their only purpose here was to read about my Twitter escapades or to check out the latest Wordpress theme I was reviewing. To those individuals, thanks for checking out this blog for the past year. To those who stick around, I hope to make this blog one of the places you stop by and read every single day as I will continue to focus on providing the best content I possibly can.

My thought is that you can write about whatever you want to that makes you happy. My blog has a general direction, but I also try to post entertaining stuff that makes me smile, and hopefully does the same for others. Good move on your part.

I almost forgot i subscribed to your blog till i saw this post on the reader. I am a very new reader and hope to see more for you frequently.
Burn outs happen when you think stuff is not important, and redundancy is very important in blogging as it makes people remember certain things in their blogging life, which they might have missed earlier….so its completly fine
