Most of me thinks that as long as I am writing what I want to write then I'm a winner regardless. But there is a small part of me that wishes I "conformed" and added some 'hot topics' that drew in the readers... but then I would be sacrificing myself and what my blog was set up for in the first place. But yes, you are right, we all suck at times. I often find it's when I'm tired and can't get "in the zone" or collect my thoughts enough to write a compelling post.
